Common spam filter triggers (avoid these):
Content triggers:
- "Click here", "Limited time offer", "Act now" → rewrite naturally
- ALL CAPS SUBJECT LINES → never
- Excessive exclamation marks!!!! → looks automated
- Images only (no text) → flagged by all filters
- Crypto/gambling/porn keywords → high scoring
- Attachments (.doc, .zip, .exe) → blocked by most providers
Technical triggers:
- No DKIM signature → automatic spam folder at Gmail/Yahoo
- SPF mismatch → hard fail
- Sending domain != envelope from domain → suspicious
- High image-to-text ratio → flagged
- HTML errors (unclosed tags, broken tables) → filter flag
- Missing unsubscribe link → illegal (CAN-SPAM)
- IP on any blacklist → blocked before content check
Bypass techniques:
1. Use reply-to munging: reply-to: [email]user@gmail.com[/email] (looks like personal email)
2. Text-only emails have 40% higher delivery rate
3. Personalized subjects: "Hey John, your invoice" > "Special offer"
4. Send from Gmail/Outlook IP ranges (warmer reputation)
