How to set it up – step by step
Nothing complicated here, but do it in order.
- Run the builder on the host machine (or a VPS if you want to be smart about it).
- Set your listening port, default is usually 1010 or 1024, change it to something random like 5487 so it's less obvious.
- Generate your server (the exe). Pick an icon that looks innocent, PDF icon, image icon, a fake "update" icon. That's the art of the game.
- If the server keeps getting flagged by antivirus, run it through a crypter before sending it out. A fresh stub makes a huge difference.
- Send the server out to your target. Methods are up to you, email attachment, fake installer, Discord file, USB drop. The delivery is the hard part, not the tool.
- Open your panel, wait for the victim to connect, and you'll see them pop up on the left side with their IP and country.
- Never run your panel on a clean machine. Use a VPS with a VPN. If the victim is smart, your IP shows up in their logs.
- Change the server name and icon every time you spread. Repetition gets you flagged.
- Test the server on your own VM first. Always. No exceptions.
- Don't use Xworm for anything that requires stealth on a serious target, it's a workhorse, not a ghost. For high-value targets people reach for proper frameworks.
